These terms cover the Lotli app for iPhone, feed.lotli.app and lotli.app. They are an agreement between you and Filip Kilter in Norway ("we"). By using Lotli you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; where the two differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Our Privacy page explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.
Lotli locks the apps you choose until you finish a short study session built from your own course material, and keeps what you learn in a personal knowledge map. It uses AI to read the material you add and write questions, explanations and study guides from it.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use Lotli and to buy a subscription.
Lotli uses Apple's Screen Time with your permission, and only you decide which apps it locks, when and for how long. You can change the locks in the Locks tab, turn them off, or withdraw Screen Time access in iOS Settings at any time, with or without a subscription. Lotli is a self-control tool; it is not a parental control and is not built to enforce limits on someone else.
Questions, answers, explanations and study guides are written by AI models from your material and, when you create a course, from public information about it. They can be incomplete or wrong. Course details Lotli finds online (such as how a course is examined) come from public pages and may be out of date. Your course, your teachers and your institution's official information always come first, and you are responsible for how you use what Lotli shows you.
You keep all rights to the material you add. You give us permission to process it, including through the AI providers named on the Privacy page, only to provide Lotli to you. Only add material you have the right to use for your own studies, and do not add other people's personal data beyond what your course material naturally contains.
Do not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or automate against the app or our server, get around the subscription or the usage limits, or use Lotli to process unlawful content. We may limit or suspend access that does.
The ideas board, behind the lightbulb on the home screen, is the one part of Lotli where you can write something other people read. It is public and anonymous: posts appear under a made-up handle, and your account is never shown beside anything you write. To post, vote, report or block you need to be signed in with Apple, so that one person votes once and a removed account cannot come straight back.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on the board. Hate speech, slurs, threats, sexual content, harassment and spam are not allowed, and neither are other people's personal details. Posts are screened automatically before they appear, every post has a Report action, and two reports take a post off the board immediately while a person looks at it. We act on reports within 24 hours and remove anything that breaks these rules, along with the account behind it where it is deliberate. Every post also has a Block action, which hides everything that author writes from you.
You keep what you write; you give us permission to display it on the board and to act on it in the product. You can delete your own posts at any time.
The Lotli app, the Lotli name and character, and the artwork and copy in the app and on our sites belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for your own studies under these terms and Apple's licence.
Joining the waitlist on lotli.app is free and creates no account. It is not a purchase, a reservation, or a guarantee of access or pricing. You can leave at any time by writing to us.
Lotli is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise it will always be available, free of faults, or that it will improve your results. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including missed deadlines, grades or messages while apps were locked, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Lotli in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
You can stop using Lotli at any time: cancel any subscription, delete your account if you made one, and delete the app. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, and we may change or discontinue parts of the service; if we discontinue it while you have a paid subscription, you can ask Apple for a refund of the unused period.
We may update these terms as Lotli changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will tell you in the app before a material change affects you.
These terms are governed by Norwegian law, and disputes go to the Norwegian courts, without affecting any mandatory protections available where you live. Write to fk.apps.customer@gmail.com.
